Great question. For our folding park benches, moving parts are covered under a separate 5-year limited warranty. As part of our outdoor furniture warranty program, this covers the hinge pins, pivot brackets, bushings, folding struts, and any spring-assisted or locking mechanism used in the bench.
This warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship during normal outdoor use. If a hinge pin shears, a pivot binds, or a folding mechanism fails because of a factory flaw, we will repair or replace the affected parts at no charge. Depending on the issue, we may send replacement hardware first, or replace the entire bench section if the frame is compromised.
The moving parts warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, surface rust, fading, vandalism, improper installation, or use in highly corrosive environments unless the correct coating package was specified. It also assumes basic maintenance, such as keeping pivot points clean and lightly lubricated according to the care guide.
To file a claim, email clear photos of the moving part, a short description of the failure, and the bench serial number if it is stamped on the underside of the seat. Most claims are reviewed within 3–5 business days, and we keep replacement hardware kits in stock for at least 10 years after a model is discontinued.
