Common Problems and Effective Solutions for urban benches

How do your outdoor benches compare in price to similar ones from other vendors?

I get asked this question a lot, so I will give you the same answer I give customers who call our sales line: our outdoor benches are not the cheapest on the market, but when you compare similar materials, dimensions, and build quality, our final delivered price is usually very competitive — and often lower on bulk orders.

The first thing to understand is that two benches can look nearly identical in a photo and still be completely different products. A teak bench made from kiln-dried Grade A wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and stainless steel hardware will cost more than a bench made from thinner, lower-grade wood with basic screws. Likewise, a powder-coated aluminum bench with a thick frame, UV-resistant finish, and welded joints will cost more than a lightweight tubular bench from a big-box store. We build to the first standard, not the second. That is why our base price may appear higher than a $199 promotional bench.

Where we usually win is the total delivered cost. Many vendors list a low base price and then add crating, residential liftgate delivery, or extra charges for stainless hardware. We quote the full price upfront, including packaging and standard delivery. When customers send us a competitor’s invoice for a comparable outdoor bench, our final total is typically within 10–15%, and in many cases we are slightly lower because we do not hide those charges.

If you are buying for a park, campus, HOA, apartment community, or restaurant patio, bulk pricing changes the math. We offer tiered discounts at 10, 25, and 50 units. A property manager ordering 30 benches often tells us our per-unit cost beats other quotes they received for the same weight rating, frame thickness, and warranty period. For custom lengths, ADA-compliant designs, or specific colors, the gap can widen even more because we handle customization in-house and do not mark it up as heavily as some vendors do.

The other part of price is longevity. A bench that needs replacement after five years is not cheaper than one that lasts fifteen. We warranty our frames and finishes against rust and fading, and we use hardware that can be serviced instead of thrown away. That means your actual cost per year of use is often lower, even if the initial invoice is not the lowest number you see.

If you have a quote from another vendor, send it to us for a genuine outdoor bench price comparison. Tell us the material, length, finish, and quantity. We will line up the specifications and show you exactly where the price difference comes from. That is the fairest way to answer the question for your specific project.
