Hey there! I totally get where you’re coming from—city maintenance crews shouldn’t have to wrestle with heavy street furniture just to keep things clean. And yes, we absolutely make a portable urban bench that’s designed to move quickly and easily.
Our moveable bench was born out of exactly this kind of real-world feedback. We worked with several municipal teams to create something that’s sturdy enough for daily public use but lightweight enough for one person to tilt and roll out of the way during street sweeping or power washing. The secret is a combination of an aluminum frame and a slightly recessed wheel system that only engages when you tip the bench onto an angle—otherwise it sits solid and level, no unwanted rolling when someone sits down.
We also made sure it still looks like a proper piece of urban furniture, not like a folding camping chair. The slatted seat and back are available in thermally modified wood or recycled composite, and the entire bench locks into place with a simple anchor system that doesn’t need tools to release. So when cleaning day comes, a worker just releases the anchor, tips the bench, and wheels it aside in seconds. After the street is clean, it rolls right back and locks down again.
If you’ve got a specific streetscape in mind or need to fit around existing bollards or planters, we can also do custom lengths and curved sections. Happy to send over a spec sheet or even ship you a demo unit to see just how easy it is to move. Feel free to reach out—I check messages here pretty regularly, so just drop me a reply and we can chat details.
